E·Z BIS Daily Notes is an alternative to the Treatment Notes module for recording and printing SOAP notes. Rather than tracking values for subjective complaints and other findings, E·Z BIS Daily Notes uses codes for data entry. When reports are printed, the codes are converted into sentences and paragraphs. For example, if a code of “S13” is entered as a subjective complaint, the printed report might state: “The patient complained that neck motion is restricted.”

To create the notes for a day, a series of codes are typed-in, corresponding to each subjective complaint, objective finding, assessment or plan of action. For many doctors, this method of entering data for SOAP notes is the fastest and easiest way.To create reports other than SOAP note reports, codes can be created for other categories, such as history, exam or prognosis.
A note code chart is used by the doctor to record the codes representing the daily findings on each patient and the selected codes are typed into the E·Z BIS Daily Notes program.

In addition to typing in codes for associated sentences or phrases, custom notes can be entered for those occasions when you want to state exact wording to appear in that one day’s notes only.
The Daily Note reports can be printed for any range of dates desired. The notes for a selected range of dates can also be exported to the E·Z BIS Word Processor for final touch-ups prior to submission.
