E·Z BIS Front Desk makes your office super-efficient—by streamlining patient flow. Paper appointment books have an Achilles’ heel...there’s only one book, and it’s at the front desk. That means you have to be at the front desk location to make an appointment. Besides that, it’s difficult for more than one staff member to make appointments at the same time. With a computerized system, appointments can be made from aany computer in the office! Now, anyone in the office can view or schedule appointments right at their own computers; no more scurrying to the front office to check the appointment book!

Easy Appointment Scheduling

Scheduling appointments with the E·Z BIS Front Desk is a breeze! You can schedule a patient with as little as a single press of a key because the Front Desk System “remembers” the time for which a patient is normally scheduled. Of course, you can override the time and select any available time slot. Making multiple appointments for a patient’s treatment plan is just as easy. Simply enter a group appointment code, such as “four weeks of Monday, Wednesday and Friday” and the appointments are instantly scheduled!

The appointment Book View shows your day at a glance. You can instantly view the status of every appointment including whether the appointment was kept or missed. Each doctors’ appointments are displayed in a separate column, indicating the time and length of every appointment. Color codes indicate special types of appointments such as new patients and re-exams. An easy check-in feature shows which patients are currently in the office and a check-out feature automatically marks the appointments as kept and prompts for the services rendered.

Another important function for any appointment system is the ability to block out periods of time in which appointments should not be scheduled. The E·Z BIS Front Desk has an easy way to block out periods of time when the office is closed, or when a particular doctor will be out of the office. You can even reserve portions of the day for special kinds of appointments, like new patient exams or re-exams.

The calendar view gives you a view of a patient’s past and future appointments. You can see how many appointments were missed and whether the patient has future appointments scheduled. Pop-up reminders indicate that special action is needed. The pop-up reminders are featured throughout E·Z BIS Office.

Another innovation to improve patient flow is the Front Desk feature for printing travel sheets. These are automatically printed for a day’s scheduled appointments. They indicate important information to the doctor such as the patient’s diagnosis, last visit and exam dates and the SOAP notes for the last several visits. Using this travel sheet, the doctor can indicate the notes for the current visit and check off what treatments were performed. A patient receipt shows the charges for the day and indicates the dates for future appointments.

Appointment Reports

The E·Z BIS Front Desk prints a large variety of reports to help you to manage patient flow, improve patient retention and track important statistics. You can easily track kept, missed and re-scheduled appointments, patients with no future appointments, walk-in patient statistics and more. Each doctor can have his or her own printed schedule to keep informed of the day’s activity.

You can custom tailor the appointment system to match the way that you run your office. You can choose the interval between appointments, (every ten minutes, fifteen minutes, etc.) the maximum number of appointments per time slot and the duration of appointments. Special appointments such as new patient exams or re-exams have separate duration settings so that additional time is automatically scheduled.
