Inventory Control
E-Z BIS Office 7.0 adds a complete inventory system to help you effectively manage product sales. You can decide which individual items should be tracked for inventory purposes and specify the number on-hand, re-order points and quantities, the supplier for each product and the cost. Built-in calculators figure the gross profit amount and the markup percentage.
As you sell inventoried products, the quantities on-hand are automatically adjusted, so you can instantly determine your inventory levels of each item. Several new inventory reports are included to help you to easily manage your inventory, re-order items that are low, and do physical inventory counts.
Sales Tax Calculation
You can put those calculators away! Now, E-Z BIS Office automatically computes and charges sales tax! This great new time-saving feature offers the ability to 
specify a tax percentage based on the category of service. So, sales tax can be calculated using one percentage for items like supports and a different tax percentage for nutritional products. The analysis of services report provides sales tax totals for tax reporting purposes.
“Book View” Report
The Front Desk “Book View” of the appointment schedule can now be printed, in color—exactly how it is viewed on-screen. The report can be printed for a specific book view column or for all columns.
National Provider Identifier (NPI)
The HIPAA National Provider Identifier rule requires that health care providers use the NPI in all standard transactions. The new identifier is being phased-in over the next several months and is mandatory by May 23, 2007. E-Z BIS Office 7.0 provides support for the NPI.
Upcoming New CMS-1500 Claim Form
A consequence of the National Provider Identifier is that the CMS-1500 claim form (previously known as the HCFA-1500) is being revised to allow for the NPI. The new CMS-1500 claim form may be submitted beginning in October, 2006 and is mandatory by February 1, 2007. With version 7.0, you will be able to print claims on the new form without skipping a beat!
Super-fast Service Code Macros
We’ve taken “speed codes” a step further! New Service Code Macros make posting even faster than before. You can configure a macro to post multiple service codes with as little as a single keystroke!
When posting a patient’s services in the Batch Entry screen or from the Front Desk, simply type a service code macro, such as “1” and all of the services assigned for that macro are automatically entered at once!
