New Patient Receipt

E-Z BIS Office sports a newly designed letter-sized patient receipt. The bottom section of the receipt functions as an appointment reminder, with calendar views of future appointment dates and times.

Designed with color printers in mind, the receipt can be printed on plain paper or on pre-perforated paper for tear-off appointment reminders.

New Co-pay plus Percentage for Insurance Patients
Copay plus Percentage

Many insurance plans now require both a copay (flat-fee per visit) and a percentage (co-insurance) of the charges. Now, E-Z BIS Office gives you the option of choosing either a copay, a percentage, or both.

Prompt for Units at Posting Time

Now you can specify the number of units for a service while posting and have the total charge automatically calculated for you! For example, if you have a ‘Massage - 15 minutes’ service code with a charge of $20.00, you can configure the service code to prompt for the number of units when you post that code. During the posting process, you can enter a “2” for the number of units performed. The total charge will be $40.00.

Add or Edit CPT Code Modifiers while Posting

Sometimes, you want to be able to specify a CPT code modifier “on the fly.” With the new version 7.0, you can add modifiers, such as “-52” for “reduced service”when posting.

A common limit of many insurance plans today is a maximum dollar amount per visit. We’ve added a warning message that pops up when a patient’s posted charges reach the maximum specified. After the threshold is reached, the patient is automatically charged 100% of the services for the day.

Internet-downloadable Updates

With version 7.0, E-Z BIS offers the option of downloading “patch” updates from the internet. When the availability of a new program version is detected, the update is automatically downloaded and installed. Broadband internet connection strongly recommended.

Faster Posting with Fewer Prompts - When posting a speed code or a service code macro that consists of multiple individual service codes, the prompt for the doctor number will only appear once. The doctor number entered will be assigned to each individual service.

Batch Entry displays CPT Codes, Modifiers and Units - New columns on the Batch Entry screen give you more information at your fingertips!

New Reports - Several new statistical reports and improvements to existing reports give you additional tools to analyze and manage your practice!

Electronic Claim Report Improvements - Electronic claim reports from Emdeon and THIN clearinghouses can now be previewed on the screen. Reports can be viewed, printed and archived for later use.
